SACRIFICE ( قربانى) -WHAT TO EAT
In a traditional way Muslims celebrate Eid ul Adha all over the world as a day of sacrifice of animals and eating. And this is how non Muslims carry the impression of your eid.
Forgetting the message of righteousness and piety (تقوى ), people are busy in killing ,eating and celebrating in the name of Islam.
In this post few of the verses of Quran will be highlighted so as to be a remembrance for all who wants to improves his ways.

In surah Al Maaida verse 97, Holy Kaaba, Holy months, Haadi ( sacrificial animals) and Qallaid( bands around the neck or body to hold or mark) have been forbidden. So no killing in Holy Kaaba, no killing in four holy months and no killing of haddi. Thus animal marked for Hajj cannot be killed before the performance of Hajj. And if you do so there is a penalty for it in Shariah. Remember Hajj happens in holy months so practically animals, birds cannot be killed in these months as detailed in my other post regarding holy months except the animal for Hajj so why all the animals not marked for Hajj are being killed all over the world in these holy months just to celebrate Hajj ?

In surah Maaida verse 2 again haadi (sacrificial animal) has been rendered non halal for believers. Piety and righteousness comes with fear of Allah and to render one meaning to verse and ignoring other is not the way of one who fears Allah as Allah knowledge encompass all the meanings. This verse comes before the above mentioned verse and thus motivates you to achieve higher level of piety( تقوى). By this verse you should not eat Haadi (sacrificial animal).

In surah Al Hajj verse 36, there is permission to eat but if you notice word Haadi (هدى )has been changed to Budna ( بدن) Whats the difference? Haddi root meaning belongs to hidayat i.e guidance usually in a good way which belongs to Allah as many other verses tells us that hidaya belongs to Allah only and He gives to whom He wills. So if you respect haddi you are more near to Allah hidaya.
Budan refers to body of animal usually without head ,fore and hind feet. And this is your physical level not related to hidaya. So while eating remember the level of your act.

لَن يَنَالَ اللَّهَ لُحُومُهَا وَلَا دِمَاؤُهَا
In the next verse 37, Surah Maaida , tells us about budan (بدن ) (physical body) in two respects : Meat ( لحم) and blood (دماء ). Quran has mentioned these two parts out of whole body as two extremes. One is halal i.e meat and one is haram i.e. blood and in between there are various parts . It is your piety (تقوى ) which will decide what to eat. A higher level invites you to meat only devoid of blood, in between you have mixed levels and last level blood is haram.
If you dont separate blood from meat it is rendered najas ( unclean) but nowadays you forget to do this, kill the animal and separate the body parts leaving no time for blood to ooze out of meat. 60% blood is lost from the vessels of animal initially, 25% remains in viscera and 10% in muscles. After death muscle tightens called as rigor mortis which takes 6-12 hrs and this further reduces the content of blood in meat. Industrial standard to hang meat is 10 – 14 days as after this enzymes and chemicals are released which makes the meat soft . So why do you not understand the word of Allah?
