Most of the people don’t realize and don’t acknowledge Allah, not to say they even don’t believe in Allah and In this regard they are completely disrespectful and ungrateful ( نا شكر ) toward HIM.
Allah names – اسماء الحسنى – One of which is AL- SHAKOOR (ااشكور).
Now AL-SHAKOOR is the great transformer. It transforms all the calamities, hardships, disasters, and illness into benefit, easiness, wealth and health. In essence it transforms the SHAR (شر) present in each thing, living or nonliving, into KHAIR (خير). Not only it transforms but it also decreases its intensity and modify it. So all the evilness, all the difficulties and hardships or punishment you see in this world, are but a fraction of their original form in the hereafter and anybody going to Hell will see these torments in their full glory.
This transformation is going on all the time since eternity, beyond space and time without your realization. In this regard AL- SHAKOOR helps you to survive all the time without your knowing.

Keep in mind that at the level of AL-SHAKOOR this is a two way process. Beyond the act of transformation, it is also receptive i.e. it acknowledge and receives the SHUKR (شكر) of people. So people who do SHUKR (شكر), who are grateful are well received here when they reach this station in after world and as a part of SHUKR (شكر) their Heaven is present there.
But people who are not grateful and do not act on SHUKR (شكر) are classified as (نا شكر) ungrateful, so it is obvious they are kept away from this station because of their own (نا شكرى) ungratefulness, and thus they themselves lay in Hell because they didn’t do SHUKR (شكر), they didn’t transformed the evilness into goodness and this was their KUFR (كفر).
