If you are a believer in afterlife, one must ponder what is the essential difference between this life and afterlife?

Know that your existence, rather your bodily, physical existence is bounded in a loop, in a circular loop, and this loop persist, is visible at the minutest to universal level. The physical matter keeps on rearranging itself after being broken down to particle level. Particles rearrange and form higher levels, everything lives and dies and then reborn, the end meets a new beginning.

Earth rotates in a orbit, stars rotate, galaxies and universe go into circular motion, so if you see far enough your vision will eventually come back to you. So much for limitation of your observation!

Even time goes around and come back to its origin. See the day and night transformation, same thing recurring again and again, your life here beginning in childlike ignorance to end in a similar old age ignorance.

But one aspect is that after completion of every loop, every orbit, physical matter taes on a new look, a new clothing to appear as what we like to call, developed and advanced, looks like a new creation although the same thing is dressed up as new. So much for your technological advancement!

If you ponder over this you can see the futility of all of it. The never ending rotational cycles of birth, death, reborn, your rise and your fall, your worship and your work, your standing and your prostration, all in a well-mannered circle, repeating itself over millennia of time.

As this is pertain able to physical level, even your nonphysical domain is limited to similar circadian rhythm. Your soul, the invisible domains of your thoughts, your imagination, your ides all recurring over generation over generation, that sometime you behave and think exactly like your previous generation.

How it will end?

Here comes the afterlife.

The essential difference between this existence and afterlife existence is escape from this circular form of existence and truly exist in a linear form of existence so that you will not come back to your original point and keep on moving ahead, never recurring, never coming back but existence which is truly a new existence at each moment of time, an experience which is always a new experience, a creation which always become a new creation by transmutation into a completely new existence. No recurring thoughts, no flashbacks, no imagination loops, no recurring ideas.

Because of this level of existence people will eventually end up on two ends. A believer will continue to move toward his heaven, while a nonbeliever will continue to move toward his hell. No coming back for either of them..

Even after this afterlife, you have another existence but very few people will experience it. This is an existence of NO MOVEMENT. Here not only circular loop is broken but also the linear one. This is perpetual, true existence from where you see all existence. Here you feel, see everything inside you and you cannot imagine the pleasure of all existence inside you.

So realize, you have two existence here and two in the afterlife and every existence belongs to Allah only.
