Nothing survives.
All the civilizations, population, generations, achievements and culture eventually perish in time and only a trace of them are left behind, but yet humanity stubbornly persists in its behavior intentionally or unintentionally, with or without reason, most likely suffering the same fate, leaving the next generation to ponder over.
This cycle of destruction has been mentioned by all the historians and philosophers, even backed up by scientific community and leaves no doubt in its occurrence, few names most prominent being Ibn Khaldun, Sima Qians, Toynbee, Giambattista vico, all arriving at the same conclusion. The reasons different some externals other internals, detail of which one can read in various books of civilization but some being – outside attack, war, diseases, economic failure, governance failure, climate and environmental disasters, moral degradation…
How to escape, break this circle if humanity has to survive. Is it possible here when all the universe we see is circling around, spinning endlessly with time itself repeating itself? This space-time wrapped around us with all its darkness and gravity keeping all humanity inside it. Does this mean we are destined to repeat our ancestral mistakes?
As an individual you have a sphere around you of your life which slowly increases and enlarge to family circle, friends or group, social circle and eventually it grows into a nation. At the core of each sphere is an individuality, an oneness which supports that circle. This one-ness can be an individual or an idea. When this is lost, this one-ness, that sphere slowly dissipate.
Another aspect is growth. Life is growth. Nations should grow. Most of the nation’s lost because they stopped at this level, in their nationality, failing to rise above it, growing out of it, started fighting for the dominance of their own nationality and thus doomed to repeat the same old mistake.
So two vital and destined reason for fall of all civilizations are:
- Loss of core one-ness, the unity at the center of sphere
- Inability to become one as a whole, as a humanity, stuck in between within their group or nation
Thus you should realize that you start as One and you should end as One if you want the civilization and humanity to persist.
But the world has never been One and thus never survived. You find all the civilizations fallen with all their greatness in their own greatness.
Now this is the basic principle of Islam. The One-ness. Allah is one. You should become One. One nation, then One Ummah then One world and keep on growing. This is the only path to safety. Hence your safety lies only in Islam.
This is not an article for convincing anyone for any conversion. Allah way is open for all. Anyone, Christian, jew, hindu, disbeliever who walks this path of unity will reap its benefit, whether he acknowledge it or not, he walks on an Islamic way.
Question remains: whether this is possible?
Many nations will die, before the remaining nations unite eventually, because, Islam will have its way.
