INNER JOURNEY

While all the people in the world live their lives unaware of the deep meaning of their existence, Allah has plan for them and a way to reach a higher station, a higher level of existence, if they accept and choose for it.

Hajj signifies this effort, each part of it represent a different station, some are vastly different from other and due to this people of one level may deny the existence of people at another level.

1. A believer stands in front of his God. Every name, ISM, of Allah acts as a God within you as it is a part of you. If you are a folk of knowledge, Al-Aleem, if you make something, Al-Khaliq, and so on. Thus Kaaba appears to every one of you according to your belief, representing that all ISM, eventually belongs to one Allah. You go around it to fully encompass it. The part hidden from you is your darkness and part visible to you is your enlightenment. This is a station of belief.
2. When you are equipped with belief, some of you strive between the two ends of world, for living, for work, for improvement, for own self or for others. In this effort some go along with intellect and mind, while some go along with heart. Again both of them appear vastly different to each other although both are striving in the way of Allah. This is your effort for which you are given recompense. This is station of effort, the SAEE.
3. Most of the people remain forever in these two stations with few exceptions who are liberated from these two. This freedom from constant effort of both mind and heart, Station of BIRR, Station of Ibrahim (AS).
4. Now you are free but this freedom leads you into total need. Because you give away everything you are in a dire needy state but you don’t want to go back but rather persist in this needy state. Most of the people turn back, no blame on them, they remain believer and they make their effort and get their due. But some go ahead. This is Station of need.
5. Some of you reach a higher plain, mountain top, and this is your limit. From this high point nowhere else to go but to go down and be a symbol of high character, high moral, high belief. Allah makes you a sign for other people and you descend. This is station of high ground, Aarif.
6. Very few, occasionally are picked up from here and chosen as a messenger but this is purely another domain, no servant speak of it, Allah chooses whom HE wills.
7. Because of your high station your life becomes a life of sacrifice and struggle with the devil to ward off ills, sickness, disease of soul and body. Now you can live at any station with Allah’s permission. Allah guards you at all levels.

So when you perform hajj, beware, don’t turn back, try to reach the summit and remain in Allah’s custody forever.

Now some of you may achieve all the stations on physical level, the article meant more at the level of nonphysical domain.
